International Francophonie Day

As part of the International Francophonie Day, the Klub Kultury Przegorzały is hosting an evening dedicated to Francophone presences and resonances in Krakow and Poland, combining visual arts, encounters, and music.

This event is conceived and coordinated by Coraline Azalée Bertheau, a French artist and this year’s volunteer at Klub Kultury Przegorzały for the IntegrART9 project, as part of the European Solidarity Corps program. Through her volunteering, she develops free cultural projects open to everyone, promoting intercultural exchanges and dialogue between European cultures. Originally from France, she wished to share a part of Francophone culture by relating it to the local context of Krakow.
The evening opens at 6:00 PM with the opening of the exhibition “Francophone Presence in Krakow”, bringing together artists whose paths and practices create bridges between France and Poland. The artists will present their works and experiences, highlighting cultural and sensitive connections between the two countries.
From 6:30 PM, the evening will continue with a meeting around Breton culture entitled: “Encounter with Brittany – Breton Traces Around Krakow and the Mountainous Region, and Polish Traces in Breton Literature.”
This intervention will be led by Maria Magdalena Wojtanowicz, a long-standing figure in the local cultural scene and the Kraków Celtic Festival. Using a slideshow combining archives, stories, and iconography, she will propose a crossed exploration of Breton and Polish languages, legends, and heritage. The presentation will be delivered in French and Polish, with English translation if necessary. It will be punctuated by Breton musical pieces performed on the hurdy-gurdy by Monika Gałązka.
This event is designed as a moment of meeting, sharing, and curiosity, open to all those interested in diverse cultures and their dialogues with Krakow.

Dans le cadre de la Journée internationale de la Francophonie, le Klub Kultury Przegorzały accueille une soirée dédiée aux présences et résonances francophones à Cracovie et en Pologne, mêlant arts visuels, rencontre et musique.

Cet événement est pensé et coordonné par Coraline Azalée Bertheau, artiste française et volontaire cette année au Klub Kultury Przegorzały pour le projet IntegrART9, dans le cadre du programme du Corps européen de solidarité. À travers son volontariat, elle développe des projets culturels gratuits et ouverts à toutes et tous, favorisant les échanges interculturels et le dialogue entre les cultures européennes. Originaire de France, elle a souhaité partager une part de la culture francophone en la mettant en relation avec le contexte local cracovien.
La soirée s’ouvre à 18h00 par le vernissage de l’exposition « Francophone Presence in Krakow », réunissant des artistes dont les parcours et les pratiques créent des ponts entre la France et la Pologne. Les artistes présenteront leurs travaux et leurs expériences, mettant en lumière des liens culturels et sensibles entre les deux pays.
À partir de 18h30, la soirée se poursuivra avec une rencontre autour de la culture bretonne intitulée : “Rencontre avec la Bretagne – Traces bretonnes autour de Cracovie et du pays montagnard, et traces polonaises dans la littérature bretonne”. Cette intervention sera assurée par Maria Magdalena Wojtanowicz, figure engagée de la scène culturelle locale et du Kraków Celtic Festival. À l’aide d’un diaporama mêlant archives, récits et iconographies, elle proposera une exploration croisée des langues, légendes et héritages bretons et polonais. Elle sera ponctuée de pièces musicales bretonnes interprétées à la vielle à roue par Monika Gałązka. La présentation se fera en français et en polonais, avec une traduction en anglais si nécessaire.
Un événement pensé comme un moment de rencontre, de partage et de curiosité, ouvert à toutes celles et ceux qui s’intéressent aux cultures variées et à leurs dialogues avec Cracovie.

W ramach Międzynarodowego Dnia Frankofonii zapraszamy na wieczór poświęcony frankofońskim śladom i inspiracjom w Krakowie. Program wydarzenia łączy w sobie sztuki wizualne, spotkania autorskie oraz muzykę graną na żywo.

Pomysłodawczynią i koordynatorką wydarzenia jest Coraline Azalée Bertheau – francuska artystka i tegoroczna przegorzalska wolontariuszka projektu InegrART9 w ramach programu Europejski Korpus Solidarności. W ramach wolontariatu, który realizuje w naszym klubie organizuje bezpłatne projekty kulturalne, których celem jest promowanie dialogu międzykulturowego. Pochodząc z Francji, Coraline pragnęła przybliżyć kulturę frankofońską, osadzając ją w lokalnym, krakowskim kontekście.
18:00 – Wernisaż wystawy „Francophone Presence in Krakow”. Ekspozycja prezentuje prace frankofońskich artystów – amatorów, których twórczość podkreśla połączenia pomiędzy Francją a Polską. Autorzy eksponowanych dzieł opowiedzą o swoim doświadczeniu artystycznym, podkreślając kulturowe i emocjonalne więzi łączące wspomniane kraje.
18:30 – Spotkanie z kulturą bretońską: „Wokół Bretanii – bretońskie ślady w okolicach Krakowa i górach oraz polskie wątki w literaturze bretońskiej” Prelekcję poprowadzi Maria Magdalena Wojtanowicz, wieloletnia animatorka kultury i współtwórczyni krakowskiego Festiwalu Kultury Celtyckiej. Za pomocą pokazu slajdów, archiwalnych opowieści i ikonografii, zabierze nas w podróż przez języki, legendy i dziedzictwo Bretanii oraz Polski. Spotkanie będzie prowadzone w języku francuskim i polskim (z możliwością tłumaczenia na j. angielski), a uświetnią je utwory bretońskie wykonane na luteńskich korbach przez Monikę Gałązkę.
To wydarzenie jest stworzone z myślą o spotkaniu, wymianie myśli i ciekawości świata – otwarte dla każdego, kto interesuje się różnorodnością kulturową i jej dialogiem z Krakowem.
